Why is Cost of Future Care (CFC) and Life Care Planning (LCP) training important?
CFC / LCP training is required for rehabilitation professionals working in the field of litigation to assist with determination of cost of future care needs and associated costs. Certification and  Advanced Certification is available for qualified rehabilitation professionals who complete the advanced training and certification program.  Advanced training and / or certification is considered necessary in order to be recognized and accepted by the courts as an expert in the field of CFC / LCP and to ensure quality and consistency of the CFC / LCP in terms of standards of practice and methodology that recognizes the client’s unique needs (i.e. medical, equipment, services, etc.) based on their disability in the context of their environment and geographical region.  The Certification and Advanced Certification are provided to promote advanced clinical reasoning, competency and preparation for testimony.
