The Advanced Ergonomics/Manual Material Handling course is designed for the professional who has completed the Matheson Ergonomic Evaluation Certification Program or its equivalent and who desires advanced evaluation techniques and the latest information concerning the science and engineering of ergonomics. The program will focus on manual material handling (MMH) including risk identification and severity through various tools (Surveys, Checklists, and Measurements), controls by engineering design and/or procedure, and program development to prevent injury associated with MMH. This program provides hands-on experiences and requires team participation. Both the industrial and hospital environment will be considered.
