Dr. Leonard Matheson the originator of work hardening, work tolerance screening and work capacity evaluations has participated in setting the national standards of practice for work hardening and functional capacity evaluation. In fact he designed many of the tests and treatment models used worldwide in occupational rehabilitation today.
Dr. Matheson and his brother Roy Matheson were pioneers in the development of work evaluation training. The standards set by EPIC Rehab and Roy Matheson and Associates for training of professionals in the areas of Ergonomics and Wellness, Functional Capacity Evaluation and Work Rehabilitation continue to be considered internationally as some of the highest in the industry today.
