Description
The Cognitive Rehabilitation for Practicing Clinicians course is designed by practicing clinicians for practicing clinicians. Aimed at allied health practitioners and clinical psychologists, this interactive course combines didactics, case studies, and interactive learning experiences to expand your knowledge base and comfort level in addressing both traditional and complex (dual diagnosis) cognitive rehabilitation clients.
Participants will review clinically applicable models of attention, memory, and executive function and identify how these can formally or conceptually guide daily practice. A variety of assessment approaches and measures will be discussed for challenging populations such as TBI, stroke, mental health, and age-related cognitive decline. Whether your assessment setting is cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluations, inpatient screens, or outpatient evaluations, treatment planning exercises will help you turn assessment results into actionable therapy goals. This 2-day course is a highly applicable learning opportunity for both the seasoned clinician as well as those new to cognitive rehabilitation, and will help solidify your role as a cognitive expert on your team.
